01

Overview

Give competing teams a working view of how investors and judges read a pitch before they face them.

This is working time, not a lecture. Each team brings its competition pitch in whatever state it is in, and leaves with it sharper. A private equity practitioner and an industry mentor sit with the material and do the unglamorous work: which claim to lead with, which number a judge checks first, where the argument gets thin, and which question is going to be hardest to answer on the day. Along the way the session covers how investors and corporate leaders actually evaluate an opportunity, so teams understand the lens they are being judged through rather than guessing at it. Expect direct feedback and a few uncomfortable questions asked early, while there is still time to fix things. It is scheduled a few weeks before the May competition for that reason.
